Happy New Year

I made a quick trip to Brantford yesterday for the stitching sisters off night and sat around Jayne's big table. It was nice to see the woman as I haven't been done for awhile but the weather was great yesterday. I always enjoy seeing what everyone is working on and getting new ideas (not that I need to add anymore to my list). Jayne and I made a quick trip to the enabler and I picked up some material so that should keep me going for awhile if I get snowed in up here. I didn't spend Thursday stitching with Jayne which was unusual but went to Hamilton to see my son who had the week off. It was nice to spend the day with him but I missed stitching with Jayne.
I want to wish everyone a Happy New year and looking forward to a new year of stitching.
P.S. Thanks for fixing my picture

Merry Christmas

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year. Our Christmas was great with all the kids showing  up and the 6 dogs. Everyone had lots of food and lots of laughter. My hubby was very surprised to see his snowy owl which I managed to stitch when he was at work. I already have new projects lined up for the new year. Weather permitting I may head to Brantford on Wednesday in my car cause no I did not get that snowmobile for Christmas.

Sorry I don't know how to flip this picture around.

Ready for Christmas

Well! I haven't blogged for awhile cause I have been very busy getting ready for Xmas. The baking is finally done and I won't even list how much I have made cause some people would think I was just crazy. I believe there is nothing better than getting a home made gift sometimes . The presents are wrapped and under the tree and now I just have to wait five more days for everyone to come home. Did I mention there is 10 people coming and we will have 6 dogs. Yes everyone brings their dogs. This week is just clean up and then sit down and enjoy my company and a good drink.

Baking Weekend

I didn't get much stitching done this weekend as it was a baking weekend. You now have to bake for Christmas on weekends when the electricity doesn't cost you as much. So I made 120 oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, 120 peanut butter cookies, 16 mini loaves of banana bread, 16 min loaves of pumpkin bread and  2 apple pies.I have not got the short bread done yet or more turtles but I still have less than 2 weeks. Believe it or not these bake goods are all accounted to go somewhere. So maybe I will get to stitch sometime this week.

Housework whenever

Well I stitched this one on the weekend to but this one is for me. I loved the saying so it is hanging in my house now. Yesterday I spent most of the day framing but everything is now framed and ready for Christmas.

I finished this little project on the weekend for my daughter who works in a shoe store so I thought this might be appropriate for Christmas.

Ten Tenors

Hubby and I had tickets at Casino Rama on Saturday night to see Ten Tenors. It was very enjoyable and they have amazing voices. They sang some Christmas carols and some Meatloaf. It was very good and a different type of concert for me cause we usually go up to see bands. Needless to say I had no luck at the slot machine before we went into the show.
We now have snow in Barrie but still not as bad as other places in the USA.  I am off tomorrow to pick up 3 frames to frame some things I just finished and hope to have framed tomorrow. Will try and post a picture soon.

Christmas party

I am back from Brantford and I had a good time. On the Tuesday night I attended a Tupperware party and I haven't been to one of those in about 20 years. The funny thing is some of the things in my cupboard are still in the Tupperware catalogue and I still use them. Jayne and I made a trip to a nice store where I got a beautiful little bear ornament.
On Wednesday Jayne and I sat around the big old table and stitched. I managed to finish a Xmas project but can not post a picture until after Xmas. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant and great fun seeing all the stitching sisters. I probably won't see the ladies until maybe January being busy with Xmas and all. I did like Kerri's idea of getting a snowmobile and driving it down.
I am working on a couple of little projects on the weekend so I hope to post a picture next week.
